Why Pakistanis Prefer Government Jobs than Private Jobs and Businesses?
This is million dollar question for Me as I have been doing research on it for sometime now.
Should I blame it on parents who always train their children to study only to get good jobs and have good roti rozi?
Is it institutes who teach only to pass the papers and get good grades?
or is it private companies who drain all the energy of people/students for few bucks?
Here is few reasons I have come a crossed why Pakistanis Prefer Government Jobs than Private Jobs and Businesses?
Job Security:
Job security is major reasons for all the employees because of unstable economic conditions of the country. Also private organizations have created so much fear in the employees because they fire on regular basis.
Stress Level:
Asking so many genius people who are on 17th + scales in governments, why not private job or business?
They reply we are happy here because we have mental satisfaction in government office. Although there is alot to improve but private organizations owner suck your blood and always keep adding Job Descriptions by hook or crook.
Work Life Balance:
Private jobs are considered 9-5 jobs but in actual they are not, also business is not a proper time job whereas government jobs are healthy for work life balance.
You start office at 9 and leave at 5. No one asks you to finish any task today at any cost because you can always do it tomorrow in government jobs.
Perks:
You get many benefits in government jobs like you can leave whenever you need very easily by asking your boss also you can get retirement and get paid even if you are not in service.
In private very few companies provide EOBI and Provident funds.
Rishtedari:
This is very hurtful fact but it is true that many Pakistanis try to get government job because government employee is well respected in family circle.
We run for government jobs just to show some pride and get good rishtas.
Every profession has pros and cons connected.
