PAF F16 fighter jet crashed near Shakarparian while rehearsal for 23rd March. Some mornings give surprises we never think of, this is one the sad mornings in Islamabad and for whole Pakistan.
As per the latest news, pilot ejected himself. Some eyewitnesses say that they saw the pilot ejecting from the jet.
About the sad incident:
This happened early this morning around 11 AM. Police has covered the area with security and army helicopters roaming around the area where it crashed. It is recommended not to travel on this route as you may find the traffic.

Here is what PAF spokesperson has said;
Pakistan Air Force reports with regret that a PAF F-16 aircraft crashed near Shakarparian, Islamabad during the rehearsals of 23rd March parade. Rescue teams have been dispatched towards the site of the crash. A board of inquiry has been ordered by Air Headquarters to determine the cause of accident.
Many people claimed they saw ejection of pilot others said we did not see.
23rd March;
Pakistan celebrates Pakistan day every year on 23rd March and for past few years our army presents air show along with many other things.
Before the final day our pilots rehearse on regular basis. This unfortunate incident never happened before.
